Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda" has said that his government will seek consensus among all parties to draft the new constitution.
Pranchanda said he will forge collaboration and consensus among all political parties to draft the new constitution as per the aspirations of the Nepalese people that would institutionalise federal republic system achieved through people's movement in 2006.
The government will focus its attention on three things, taking the peace process to its logical conclusion, writing the new constitution within stipulated time frame and to achieve economic prosperity, the prime minister said while addressing a function to honour pro-Maoist journalist Shakti Lamshal with the Krishna Sen Journalism Award.
Nepal will be formally declared a federal state through the promulgation of new constitution, he said adding that differences among major parties will be sorted out through dialogue.
