US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will attend the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games next month, the State Department said.

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will attend the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games next month, the State Department said.
According to department spokesman Sean McCormack, Rice, who just visited China late last month, is also likely to attend the Games in August. He did not release other details about Rice's travel.
Rice's trip was announced after the White House confirmed earlier this month that President George W. Bush would attend the Beijing Olympics Games' opening ceremony.
