"He said they will release Aung San Suu Kyi maybe after the elections," a foreign ministry official from one of the delegations at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) meeting in Hanoi told AFP.
However, the official said that Nyan Win, speaking at a foreign ministers' dinner on Wednesday night, "did not say specifically" what date she would be freed from house arrest.
