US lawmakers paid for meeting modi?

Did organizers of a recent US delegation, which met Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi, violate funding regulations for such trips by charging participants?
A Chicago-based Indian American community news site said in a report organizers had sought payments ranging between $16,000 and $ 3,000 from participants.
It’s not clear how many of the 24-member delegation paid and how much.
The high-point of the delegation’s visit was a meeting Modi. Three US congress members, who were on the delegation, invited the chief minister to visit their country. He has been denied visa to visit the US before.
It’s not clear yet who paid for the US lawmakers -- Aaron Schock, Cathy McMorris Rodgers and Cynthia Lummis, all Republican.
There was no response to requests for comments sent to their offices here in DC. “All I would say is that our trip here was signed off by the appropriate authorities... and specifically by the House of Representatives,” Schock said in India, according to reports, adding, “I would say that members of Congress don’t just leave the country.”
