Magnitude 5.5 earthquake jolts northeast, no casualties reported

According to Indian Meteorological Department, the epicentre of the quake was in Myanmar and the tremors were felt across the India-Myanmar border region.

An earthquake of 5.5 magnitude shook most parts of northeast India on Tuesday morning.

According to Indian Meteorological Department, the epicentre of the quake was in Myanmar and the tremors were felt across the India-Myanmar border region.

The quake occurred at 7.43am and lasted for 10-15 seconds.

However, there are no immediate reports of any damages or casualties.
