Paul Beatty, who won the Man Booker Prize this year for his book The Sellout, is a part of the final list of speakers of the much-awaited 2017 edition of the ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival, it was announced on Tuesday.

Beatty will be making his first appearance at the festival. Other speakers at JLF’s 2017 edition include writer-painter Amruta Patil, actor Nandana Sen, Irish film director Neil Jordan, wildlife expert Valmik Thapar, spiritualist Sadhguru, politician Shashi Tharoor, British film director Stephen Frears, actor Rishi Kapoor and Tamil writer and journalist Vaasanthi.

The ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival 2017, which will take place between January 19 and 23 at its usual venue Diggi Palace Hotel, expects to welcome over 250 authors, thinkers, politicians, journalists and popular culture icons from across the world.
