The Annual Sarad Kavyoutasav - Kavya Kaumudi is back with another edition. Titled Hunkar, the event is dedicated to the pride of the country and the Indian soldiers.

Poetry lovers of the city, be prepared for a literary treat as back in the town is Kavya Kaumudi, the Annual Sarad Kavyotsav by Sanskar Bharti. Titled Hunkar, themed on patriotism, the event this year is dedicated to the Indian soldiers and their bravery.

“We organise the event year to welcome Sharad Purnima. The title has been chosen as Hunkar as it is dedicated to the pride and respect of our nation. Poetry, we feel, is the best way to spread the message of patriotism among the people,” says Ganjender Solanki, poet and convener of the event.

The line-up of poets at the event includes Padma Bhushan Gopal Das Neeraj, Som Thakur, Dr Sarita Sharma, Dr Hari Om Pawar, and Mr. Rajesh Chetan, among others. Solanki adds, “Even though the poets do touch upon patriotism in their poems every year, this year we have dedicated the event to our soldiers keeping in mind the current scenario. Along with poems on the theme, they will also perform other poems of theirs.”
