Till October 31, Mumbaikars have the opportunity to participate in a unique contest. The winner will get a chance to get personalised graffiti of his / her choice splashed on one wall of his / her house. The graffiti will be painted on the wall by an artist or volunteer of The Wall Project, an organisation that aims to change the way we view spaces and convert them into visually appealing artistic pieces.

To be a part of the contest, the only thing a guest needs to do is generate a bill exceeding Rs 1000 at any Mocha outlet in Mumbai. The guest will then be entered into a lucky draw and three winners will get a special customised wall in their homes painted by an artist.

Shobita Kadan, vice president–marketing at Mocha, says, “Since Diwali is a time for new beginnings and for spreading happiness, we thought it was the perfect opportunity for us to do something meaningful and fun for our patrons. Also, we want to reinforce our inclination towards bringing such innovative ideas to the forefront, engaging with our guests and also support the The Wall Project.”

Bring a wall to life
The artwork will be a combination of mixed media. They will be made up of original works created specially by the artist after discussing the winner’s likes and dislikes, colour and design preferences etc. Once they both agree, a customised palate will be created. It will be restricted to one wall, so proper attention to detail can be paid. Kadan says, “The artist and the winner will together decide what can be painted on the walls since it is a creative and collaborative effort.”

Also, the home doesn’t need to have any specifications. However, the wall being painted will have to be inside their home and the dimensions should be 7 ft X 8 ft. Kadan says, “The initiative ends on October 31, so the artists will come to paint the winner’s walls between November 1 and 3, just in time to welcome Diwali.”

This offer is valid at all Mocha outlets in Mumbai and Delhi till October 31
