Bihar State Pollution Control Board asks DMs to ban firecrackers in four cities

In the cities other than the four districts where the crackers have been completely banned, the State Pollution Control Board has allowed only green cracker and that it can used on Diwali for two hours from 8 pm to 10 pm.

Four new sites in Bihar in protected monuments’ list

These include archaeological remains discovered on the banks of Chandan river in Amarpur block of Banka district, the huge mound discovered at Guwaridih-Bariarpur in Bhagalpur district, the ancient Lord Shiva temple at Dumaria village in Gopalganj district and mausoleum of Qamar Ali and Sultan Ali and Dulhin Mandir at Sherghati in Gaya.

Bihar panchayat polls: Trend reverses,women emerge as ‘better half’ after 50% quota

In the first phase, 15,328 candidates filed their nomination for different panchayat posts, of which 9,093 were women, which comes to 52.79%. For the second phase, 76,279 candidates filed their nominations, including 40,168 women, ie. 52.65%.

Stadiums in Bihar: No boundary walls, water stream on ground

The sorry state of stadiums came to light during a meeting held on August 24 by the youth affairs directorate of the culture department, which had in 2007 planned 534 stadiums in the state, one in every block. Between 2008-2009 and 2017-2018, it approved the design plan of 306 stadiums.
