10-year-old shoots teenaged sister dead in Madhya Pradesh

A 13-year old-girl died when a gun his younger brother was playing with went off accidentally in Shivpuri district on Saturday.

A 10-year-old boy playing with a gun accidentally shot dead his teenaged sister in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh, police said Saturday.

Thirteen-year- old Ayushi Chouhan was playing a game on her computer when her little brother playfully pulled the trigger of the loaded gun fatally hitting her on the chest, additional superintendent of police Alok Singh said.

The gun , a licenced weapon, belonged to their uncle Mahendra Singh Chouhan. Nobody other than the two children were at home when the tragedy happened.

Hearing the gunshot, neighbours informed the police and the girl was rushed to hospital where she was declared dead on arrival.

Police said a case of causing death by negligence under section 304(a)of the IPC was registered and further investigation was on.
