Close shave for passengers of Dakshin Express, mishap averted

A major mishap was averted on Sunday, when at least seven coaches of south-bound Dakshin Express passed through a damaged track at Bhopal railway station.

A major mishap was averted on Sunday, when at least seven coaches of south-bound Dakshin Express passed through a damaged track at Bhopal railway station.

According to information, Dakshin Express was supposed to arrive at platform number 1 of Bhopal railway station at 11 am. A railway employee Rajeev Chouhan spotted the damage and he immediately informed other senior officials who alerted the train driver and guard through walkie-talkie.

The driver used emergency brake to stop the train, but by that time, seven coaches had already passed through the damaged track.
