Expressing concern over the security of Uprit, who was arrested by the special task force (STF) recently, the YC has said that many people hae been killed for their revelations in PEB scam and hence there should be proper security for him now.

Uprit is the key man in the probe into the DMAT scam and hence it is possible that there may be an attack on his life, said YC state spokesperson Samir Dixit.

“After his arrest, Uprit has taken names of high-profile persons, including ministers who were beneficiaries of the DMAT scam. Hence, we have these apprehensions and he should be provided proper security,” Dixit said.

Meanwhile, the YC has planned to burn books in Bhopal on Saturday to protest the PEB and DMAT scams. Office-bearers said students would set afire books as they were “not of any use for them”.

When asked if it was proper to burn books, Dixit said the situation has reached such a nadir that education and learning means nothing and anyone who pays money gets the jobs or seats in medical colleges, hence students themselves wanted to burn the books.
