The court has completed recording the statement of prosecution witnesses on Tuesday.

The last prosecution witness, a RAW officer, Rupin Sharma did not appear in the court on the grounds that it was not possible for him to come to Bhopal as he was "on a certain mission" following which the CJM, R G Singh closed the recording of statement from the prosecution side.

Salem's statement will be recorded by the court on August 4.

Salem along with his companions had allegedly acquired passport from Bhopal on the basis of fake documents following which cases were registered against them.

The gangster was recently injured in Mumbai's high-security Arthur Road Jail after being attacked by a fellow prisoner, Mustafa Dossa, a member of the Dawood gang.
