Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has compared himself to Hollywood star Robert Downey Jr, just hours after watching Marvel’s latest, Avengers Endgame. Akshay compared the neckties of the two actors and added his opinion of the movie in his tweet.
Sharing a picture of himself wearing a necktie juxtaposed against Downey’s picture where he is wearing a similar necktie, Akshay tweeted, “When #IronMan Wears the same Tie as you!! #WhoWoreItBetter Ps: #EndGame is out of this World.” Akshay put up the post Saturday night and, interestingly, even Downey posted a similar picture of himself Saturday night.
Akshay took his family – wife Twinkle Khanna, son Aarav and daughter Nitara to watch the film. He was spotted carrying Nitara on his shoulders as they came out of the theatre in Mumbai.
Talking about the role of cinema in society, Akshay had recently said, “It is a way of not only reaching out to the masses but also at times educating them. I feel there is no point of being an influencer if you can’t make the best use of your platform to improve the country. This is my way of giving back.”
On the career front, Akshay Kumar has completed the shooting for Good News where he will be seen alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani. The film is slated for a December 27 release. Directed by Raj Mehta, the film was earlier scheduled for a September 6 release and the new release date was announced only Saturday.
Avengers Endgame released in India and the US to a grand opening on Friday and has been breaking records at the box offices ever since. It earned Rs 53 crore in India on the first day, while the movie earned Rs 2,130 crore worldwide in two days.
