Bollywood star Salman Khan’s Race 3 box office collection took a major dip on Wednesday at the domestic ticket windows after roaring successfully for five days - the film collected 9.25 crore on the sixth day of the release, making a total of 142.01 crore at the box office, a statement from the producers claimed. With the Thursday collection, it is expected to earn over 150 crore. With an open weekend -- there are no releases this week -- up ahead, Race 3 is expected to post a 200 crore business soon.

Salman Khan, along with co-stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Daisy Shah, made a special video message to thank fans for Race 3’s fantastic business. The video was taken when Salman -- along with Katrina Kaif, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah, Sonakshi Sinha and others -- left for the next leg of Da-bangg: The Tour Reloaded. The actor thanked his fans for all the love and appreciation on the video.

Directed by Remo D’Souza, Race 3 became the highest opener of 2018, toppling Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 2 ( 25.10 crore) and Deepika Padukone’s Padmaavat ( 19 crore), when it earned 29.17 crore on June 15. The film is also Salman’s fourth one to cross the 100-crore mark in three days, after Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai.

Race 3 released across 4200 screens in India and is also Salman’s second highest weekend opener in the last eight years; Sultan earned 180.36 crore in three days of the release.

Starring Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Saqib Saleem, Race 3 is the third film in the Race franchise and opened to poor reviews. While the previous two films were directed by Abbas-Mustan, Remo D’Souza has helmed the latest flick which is about a feud within a family of notorious arms dealers.
