Azaan's big premiere in Dubai

Azaan might not have opened to a roaring response, but lead actor-producer Sachiin Joshi didn’t leave any stone unturned to create enough buzz about the film. As it premiered in Dubai, the Gutkha baron’s son put it all (media conglomerate, glam queen Mallika Sherawat and red carpet) together nicely.

It all started with Mallika entering the venue in a traditional Indian outfit. And surely, her look was a far cry from her usually-adventorous style seen on international red carpets. Azaan babe, Candice Boucher came in with her boyfriend. Sachiin, meanwhile, was spotted posing with former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar and Candice. At the end of the screening, strangely we saw Mallika’s bodyguard barring her fans from clicking her pictures. And the party continued.

Soon, the entire group headed for the plush Armani Privé lounge. Although we didn’t spot Mallika at the do, it didn’t stop others present at the event from shaking a leg to hit Bollywood numbers including Munni Badnam Hui... and Yamla Pagla

‘Wait’ and watch
Mallika is generally referred to as the ‘tantrum queen’ in Bollywood. But it was interesting to spot the Hissss (2010) actor waiting patiently for actor Sohail Khan on the day Sachiin’s film premiered in Dubai.

The story goes like this — stars including Mallika, Urvashi Sharma and Sohail — who had reached Dubai for the premiere, were supposed to leave their hotel together for the premiere’s venue. But interestingly, Mallika came down and sat in a car long before Sohail arrived.

As a result, Mallika had no option, but to wait for him along with the entire cavalcade. But not like she got bored during that time, as Bunty Bahl of Carving Dreams kept her busy with small talk. And since she had all the time in the world, she was also seen moving from one posh car to another.
