Bollywood action films have a soft corner for slow motion scenes and Sidharth Malhotra’s next, A Gentleman, doesn’t seem to go against the popular notion. The makers of the film have released a new song, titled Bandook Meri Laila, that has a heavy dose of slo mo shots.

A Gentleman will hit the screens on August 25, 2017.

In fact, it goes way beyond that and shows the lead actors, Sidharth and Jacqueline Fernandez, in shower and displays their chiselled physiques. There isn’t any direct connection of the song with these images, but when has Bollywood cared about logic in such projects.

Coming back to the song, it’s voiced by a number of singers, including Sidharth Malhotra and Raftaar. Ash King provides the base for the song that’s written by Vayu and composed by Sachin-Jigar.

Ash King and Jigar Saraiya try their best to lay a foundation for Sidharth and Raftaar’s rap, but it never looks anything better than another average Punjabi pop-inspired number.

Meanwhile Sidharth and Jacqueline keep doing what they have been doing in the trailer and other songs, that is looking good and giving stock expressions in close ups.

The film is directed by Raj and DK who have made the terrific Shor And The City and Go Goa Gone. However, they are also credited with 99 and Happy Ending.

A Gentleman will hit the screens on August 25, 2017.
