Challenging and exciting characters, that’s all on Radhika Apte’s mind
Actor Radhika Apte does not want to think about the work she is done before, neither she knows what future holds for her, rather she wants to focus on the work she has at hand.
Actor Radhika Apte believes in living in the present. She’s not among those who keeps on thinking about the work done in the past or worry about what lies ahead. The only thing essential for her is to continue working.
“Right now, I am looking forward to what all I can explore. For me, both quality and quantity are important for one’s growth. So, I just want to keep working,” says the actor.
Asked about what interests her in a project, she adds, “The character must challenge and excite me. It should make me think like ‘I can’t wait to start working’ on it.”
Radhika, who received a lot of appreciation for her role in the web series Lust Stories — where she played a teacher — is content with all the feedback. She shares that it’s the right time to explore the online space. “There’s so much happening there, and I really want to be a part of it,” says the actor, who is known for her Bollywood films such as Parched (2016), Shor in the City (2011), Badlapur (2014), Hunterrr (2015) and Pad Man.
Talking about her upcoming work, Radhika shares, “In Bazaar, I play an ambitious and independent girl; in Ghoul, a military woman, who is stuck in a particular belief, and in Andhadun I am a chirpy young girl-next-door... All these characters are nothing like what I am; they are different. Therefore, exciting.”
The actor, who plays a RAW agent in Sacred Games lastly affirms, “I try not to repeat myself.”
