There is no end to the beast in human beings. As if raping women and children wasn’t shocking enough, the depravity has reached a new height. Eight men from Mewat region of Haryana and Rajasthan allegedly gangraped a pregnant goat; the animal died after the assault.

Disgusted at the heinous crime, actor John Abraham feels the only way to manage such depravity is by awarding death penalty. He wants the rapists of the goat to hang.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Abraham said, “I am appalled. Being an Indian, I say women and animals are not safe in our country. Capital punishment is the only way forward. Nothing else will work with the sick men in our country. For me my religion is being good to all living beings. These guys should be given capital punishment - simple.” So shocking was the incident that a hashtag, #JusticeForGoat began trending on Twitter.

Actor Farhan Akhtar also made his voice heard on the subject. He tweeted: “Women and children living in fear of the Indian man’s power politics and sexual perversion was not enough.. now goats and dogs will too. Something has gone seriously wrong in our evolution and our education. Where’s the light at the end of this tunnel?”

Eight men in a village in Haryana’s Mewat district were arrested for allegedly raping a goat on Wednesday night. The seven-year-old goat was pregnant and died a day after the assault.
