Happy New Year makes Rs 45 crore on opening day, breaks all records

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Happy New Year was expected to do well across theatres but the kind of business the movie has shown on the first day itself is nothing short of phenomenal.
The Farah Khan movie has broken all first day records and has made about Rs 45 crore with Rs 42. 62 crore in Hindi, Rs 1.43 crore in Telugu and Rs 92 lakhs in Tamil, Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh has tweeted.
