Holiday in Rs 100 crore club, may emerge as year's biggest hit

Salman Khan-starrer Jai Ho (Rs 117 crore) and Alia-Arjun-starrer 2 States (Rs 102 crore) are the other films which entered Rs 100 crore club in 2014. This is Akshay's third film in the hallowed club after Rowdy Rathore and Housefull 2.

Holiday: A Soldier is Never Off Duty capped a fabulous two-week run at the box office with Rs 100 crore in its kitty on Friday. The film released on June 6.

The film, starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha, opened to good reviews and earned over Rs 40 crore in the first weekend itself. In face of hardly any competition the next week (the only release was Fugly) the film maintained its successful run at the ticket windows.





Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film is a remake of his Southern hit Thupakki.
