Model-turned-actor Vidyut Jammwal, who wowed audiences with his hard-hitting negative role in debut film Force, has been approached by several filmmakers to be a part of their films. But to his surprise, he has mostly been offered romantic roles. “What’s more incredible is that no one has approached me for the negative lead. They think I am good looking and someone who can do action. So they are coming to me with positive roles,” says Vidyut.

But, since Vidyut has earned a name for himself for his action, he is keen to continue doing film from the genre. “I am looking forward to doing a lot of action. I feel there is lot of vacuum in this genre and want to fill it. I am hoping someone comes up with a brilliant action film, so I haven’t signed anything so far,” says the 30-year-old, adding that he does not regret making his debut with a negative character. “The industry has changed now. Look at RA.One. Arjun Rampal plays a negative character. In Don, Shah Rukh Khan, the main protagonist, is negative. As long as there is enough scope to give a hundred percent performance, I am okay with it.”

Producer Vipul Shah has already announced that there will be a sequel to the John Abraham-Genelia D’Souza film, but Vidyut has not been approached for any role. “I don’t know if I am in Force 2 because they killed me in Force. They are still in talks, trying to germinate an idea for the sequel. But I have not been spoken to about it,” says Vidyut adding, “Even if not Force, I would love to work with Nishikant Kamat. He is one of the finest directors we have and he is an incredible person.”
