Not Karisma Kapoor or Malaika Arora Khan, these are the friends Kareena Kapoor partied recently.bollywood Updated: Feb 17, 2018 15:52 IST
Kareena Kapoor Khan sure knows how to host a party. The doting daughter that she is, Kareena – along with sister Karisma -- recently organised a birthday party for dad Randhir Kapoor as he turned 71. Along with the sisters, their mother Babita, the entire Kapoor clan was present at the family-only event that included Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor, Reema Jain and husband Manoj, their sons Armaan and Aadar.
The party animal that Kareena is, she followed up the birthday bash with another party with her team after the shooting of Veere Di Wedding ended. This included her friends Tanya Gharvi and Poonam Damania while sis Karisma Kapoor, Amrita Arora and Malaika Arora – her girl gang – were missing from this shindig.
It seems the theme of the party was ‘pout out’ as the friends clicked a lot of selfies. Tanya shared a moment from the party and wrote, “All heart❤❤😍.” Poonam shared another pic and wrote, “Fun night 💕my bebo…#friends #lifeisgood #blessed ❤❤❤.” While Tanya is the actor’s stylist, Poonam is her manager.
Kareena had earlier called Veere Ki Wedding a special film. “It’s a different kind of movie. It’s a story of four friends. It’s not the typical boy-meets-girl romance which I think I’ve done so much of. So I thought this should be different. It’s a small film, made by women. The producers are women - Rhea (Kapoor) and Ekta (Kapoor). I think it’s a special film and people will appreciate it,” she said in an interview.
Kareena Kapoor’s Veere Di Wedding releases this June and the actress says that the film is ‘special,’ news agency PTI reports. Veere Di Wedding is Kareena’s first film post-pregnancy. It also stars Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania. Kareena underlined that that Veere Di Wedding is not a typical Bollywood romantic film and told PTI, “It’s a different kind of movie. It’s a story of four friends. It’s not the typical boy-meets-girl romance which I think I’ve done so much of. So I thought this should be different. It’s a small film, made by women. The producers are women - Rhea (Kapoor) and Ekta (Kapoor). I think it’s a special film and people will appreciate it.”
Veere Ki Wedding is Kareena’s first film after giving birth to son Taimur but she hates it being termed her ‘comeback’ film. Husband Saif had said earlier in an interview, “”Had you asked this question (Veere Ki Wedding being her comeback film) to her, she would have probably thrown something at you, like a shoe, maybe. As according to her, she has always been around.”
