Madaari: Irrfan accuses Kabali makers of stealing poster of his film

Irrfan has accused the makers of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s Tamil gangster drama Kabali of stealing the official poster of his upcoming thriller Madaari.

Both the posters see the faces of the lead actors, Irrfan and Rajinikanth, with numerous buildings and skyscrapers standing horizontally on their faces.

When asked about the similarities between the two posters, the 49-year-old actor said, “We are small filmmakers... I saw that Rajinikanthji ki film ne humara poster chori kar liya.”

“You see their film’s poster and our film’s poster. No issues. You watch his film and our film too.”

The Piku star was speaking at a mall here yesterday while promoting Madaari, which releases July 15.

Fans of Rajinikanth have apparently clarified, on a website that the Kabali poster in question is a fan-made one and not the official one.
