Move over ankle-length boots. The hottest girls in Bollywood are wearing boots that go all the way up to the thighs. Actor Priyanka Chopra has been wearing these boots to many promotional events across the US. Actors Deepika Padukone, Amrita Arora and Parineeti Chopra, too, were recently spotted making a style statement in these boots.

Designer Rina Dhaka says the trend has made a comeback this season. “Thigh-high boots were in fashion in the 90s. Girls teamed them with dresses. They have become a favourite again. I think this season we all can switch from stockings to thigh-high boots. They are easy-to-wear, and if styled right, they can look super glamorous,” she says.

Designer Nida Mahmood is also a fan of thigh-high boots. “They are this winter’s must-haves. These boots can look very dramatic, so styling is key. Thigh-high boots with a short skirt, or even a long one with a very high slit will look chic. This trend is definitely a head-turner,” she says.

For designer Nikhil Mehra, the boots add to the sex appeal. “They add instant edge to whatever you are wearing. The best way to add to your glam quotient,” he says.
