Akshay to Sushant: Bollywood stars talk football
With Euro 2016 underway, popular Bollywood stars, who are also huge soccer fanatics, talk about the teams they are supporting, and the matches they are excited about.

Akshay Kumar
Favourite players: Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal): Despite concerns about his fitness, he will be a dangerous player.
Thomas Müller (Germany): He is one of the most reliable goal scorers in a big competition like Euro
Favourite teams: Germany: They are the world champions.
Spain: They are the defending champions.
Belgium: They have loads of attacking talent.
Big matches: Italy vs Belgium, England Vs Wales and Portugal Vs Iceland.
Special plans: Since I’m constantly busy and I sleep early (the matches will be late in the night), I will record the matches and watch them in the morning.

Varun Dhawan
Favourite players: Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Sweden): He’s one of the world’s most free-scoring strikers.
Favourite teams: England: With the influx of new players, it’s intriguing how they’ll perform. I’d love to see an underdog team win the title. Also, France is quite strong, especially with the home support.
Big matches: England vs Wales and Belgium vs Italy.
Special plans: There’s no special plan. I’ll try to watch the games with my friends. Mostly, all the good games are late in the night, so watching them might be difficult, but I will catch up most of the games.

Sushant Singh Rajput
Favourite players: Luka Modrić (Croatia): He’s the backbone of the team.
Gareth Bale (Wales): The Real Madrid star is in a great form.
Mesut Özil (Germany): His finesse and improvisation is hard to match.
Favourite teams: France: They are a solid squad, with the home support. That could be an advantage for them.
Spain: They have great pedigree with big stars.
Big matches: Italy vs Belgium.
Special plans: For me, it’s about a massive home theatre, lots of friends, and loads of beer and food (smiles).

Ayushmann Khurrana
Favourite players: Jamie Vardy (England): He has just had the season of his life, after scoring 24 goals for Leicester City.
Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal): He is the ‘big stage’ star. So, all the eyes will be on him.
Mesut Özil (Germany): One of the focal points of Germany’s attack.
Favourite teams: Germany: They don’t have superstars like Ronaldo, but, as a team, they are brilliant.
Big matches: I’d love to watch Germany play Portugal if they end up playing against each other.
Special plans: There are no special preparations, but I will watch the matches at home whenever I’m free.

Aditya Roy Kapur
Favourite players: Dimitri Payet (France): The attacking midfielder has been in fantastic form of late.
Antoine Griezmann (France): Look at his goals-to-games ratio in his two seasons for Atletico Madrid.
Paul Pogba (France): He is tipped to play a huge part in the host’s campaign.
Alvaro Morata (Spain): Overcoming a thigh injury, he might hold the key to glory for Spain.
Favourite teams: France: They are the favourites, as they play at home.
Germany: They are a driven side with solid talent.
Big matches: England vs Wales, Germany vs Poland and Belgium vs Italy.
Special plans: My main preparation includes ordering enough food and drink (laughs), because I have the projector at home, so my house becomes the place to watch the matches with friends.
