Parineeti, Shraddha and I should work in Dil Chahta Hai sequel: Alia
Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt says that she doesn’t consider her contemporaries competition.
Reports of actresses getting embroiled in catfights are quite common in Bollywood. It’s no surprise, then, that Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, who entered the film industry around the same time, have often been asked about the equation they share with each other.

Alia hopes to put an end to such questions, saying, “Pari (Parineeti), Shraddha and I should work in the sequel to Dil Chahta Hai (2001) as three friends. I think that’s a superb idea. It will be so much fun. Should I call Farhan (Akhtar; the director of the original) regarding the film, and make it happen (smiles)?”
The 22-year-old also adds that she doesn’t consider her contemporaries competition. “Two years back, I would have said, ‘Yes, I am very competitive.’ But I have grown up now. I am competitive in a way that I am very determined to do what I want to do, but not in a space where I am eyeing any particular person,” says Alia.

Insisting that she is in “a happy space” professionally, she adds, “Both Pari and Shraddha are so talented, warm and beautiful. There is no need for me to exhibit a fake competitiveness, because it doesn’t exist. I guess, it is just boring for the media to know that actresses aren’t fighting any more (smiles).”
Parineeti and Shraddha’s wish list
Biopic for Parineeti?
Recently, Parineeti Chopra said, “I am open to doing women-oriented films. I would love to do a biopic as well.” Co-incidentally, tennis player Sania Mirza has stated that she would like Parineeti to play her in her biopic, if one is ever made. This soon led to speculation that Farah Khan might be directing a biopic on Sania. However, the news was later denied by the film-maker.
Crime Master Gogi?
Remember the bumbling criminal, Crime Master Gogo (played by Shakti Kapoor) from director Rajkumar Santoshi’s film, Andaz Apna Apna (1994)? Not many know that Kapoor’s daughter, Shraddha, is keen on reprising the role. “I would love to play Crime Master Gogo’s daughter — Gogi — in a film that can be called something like, Gogo Aur Gogi,” says Shraddha.
