Saif Ali Khan offers a job to Soha

A few days ago, HT Café had reported that Soha Ali Khan and her boyfriend Kunal Khemu had been passing on scripts that they found interesting to her actor-producer brother, Saif Ali Khan. Now, the latter, who runs a successful production house, has offered his sister a chance to learn the tricks of the trade with the banner.

An insider says, “Saif knows that Soha has a sharp mind and can be a successful producer. He is open to the idea of her gaining experience through his firm, but she hasn’t agreed yet because she’s busy with her acting assignments.”

Soha confirms: “Bhai (Saif) has said I can certainly work with him or with his banner, and I can even learn from his business partner, Dinesh Vijan. But I’ve always said that my focus is on acting.”

The Rang De Basanti (2006) actor explains the reason behind Saif’s offer. “He tells me, ‘If you aren’t happy with a lot of cinema that’s being made in India, why don’t you go out and create it yourself?’ If you have a mind, you can do it, which is what producers do. So, maybe a little later in life, not now,” she says.

She also believes that she will need some training before venturing into film production. “Everyone says I will make a good producer. I don’t know why; maybe because I have good organisational, interpersonal skills. And I think I have a good mind (for production). But I don’t feel I am ready as yet,” says Soha.
