Saif Ali Khan on son Taimur Ali Khan: He might feel forced to become an actor

Taimur Ali Khan was born on December 20, 2016.

With parents Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan being accomplished actors, people safely presume that the couple’s tiny tot, 10-month-old Taimur Ali Khan, will grow up to be an actor. That’s what worries Saif.

“Taimur will have to be aware that he is being watched all the time. He will have a lot of privileges as well. I think life has a wonderful way to balance it out, so if he has all the wonderful privileges he will also have certain responsibilities. There will be certain expectations out of him. Maybe all that will force him to become an actor. I hope that with the right guidance, maybe he will find his calling in another field,” says Saif.

Taimur is already a favourite of the paparazzi. Every single time he ventures out of the house in mommy Kareena’s arms, shutter bugs don’t miss a chance to click him from all angles.

“I’m worried about him in the sense that he has already become a star, and that people love him so much. There’s going to be pressure on him. Bad luck he’ll have to figure out himself,” jokes Saif, who was in Delhi recently to promote his upcoming film, Chef.

The actor, who has two other kids, daughter Sara Ali Khan and son Ibrahim Ali Khan, with ex-wife Amrita Singh, wants all his kids to follow their heart. Although Sara is all set to make her acting debut in Bollywood, Saif wouldn’t mind if Taimur decides to not become an actor. “If he wants to do something else. I will be very happy if he follows his heart. I just hope to give him good education and exposure to the world, and I’d be happy with that,” he says.

Saif and Kareena will complete five years of marriage on October 16, but due to work commitments, it will be a private affair instead of a big celebration. “I am working on the 17th of October, so I will come home early on the 15th night, and have a quiet dinner, like always,” says Saif.
