Salim Khan was sure Salman would get clean chit

Scriptwriter Salim Khan expresses joy after his son actor Salman Khan was freed of all charges.

Reacting to actor Salman Khan’s acquittal in the 1998 blackbuck and chinkara poaching cases, his father, scriptwriter Salim Khan, says: “It’s a huge relief for the family. We had total faith in the judiciary and the right verdict has come out. I was sure that my son would get a clean chit.”

Salman, along with seven of his co-actors from Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999), were accused of killing a blackbuck and a chinkara on two separate occasions. One was killed at Bhawad on September 26, 1998 and the other at Ghoda Farms on September 28, the same year.
