As we try to dig a little deeper to find the reason behind this, a source close to the actor reveals, “The new stubble and tan has given him a rugged look, which is required for his role in his next film, Prabhudheva's Rambo Rajkumar”.

The source adds, “Rambo Rajkumar is an action packed film and Shahid has been doing heavy action sequences. He has also gained muscle weight for the same.” Shahid’s look has got him much praise from within the industry, and the actor himself has become comfortable with it now. “It’s really different from how he looks usually, which is interesting. People have told him that as well. So now he’s started liking it too,” says the source. On being contacted, Shahid’s spokesperson confirms the news.
