Salman Khan is back on the small screen. And as he returns to host season six of the reality show Bigg Boss (BB, on Colors), he reiterates his promise that this time around, the daily prime time show will be a family-oriented one.

“I want families to watch BB together. I didn’t like the decibel level rising the last time. I had to intervene, which I didn’t like doing,” says Salman. “Contestants feel that if they make noise, they get noticed. But if you recall, the winners have all been personalities who are well-adjusted.

Bigg Boss winners were always dignified: Salman Khan
Actor Salman Khan, who returns as a host for the sixth season of reality show Bigg Boss, says, though controversies form the part of the show but the winners have always been dignified.

"Through controversies contestants feel they can go ahead in the show. The participants who were in the Bigg Boss' house thought if they would fight they will be seen more on the show...publicity. But one must not forget that the winners on the show have always been dignified people," Salman told reporters here last evening at the press conference of the show.

Salman Khan's look for Bigg Boss 6 revealed!
Salman Khan has always been a trendsetter. Whether it’s his long hair from Tere Naam (2003), Being Human tees and more recently, or the chequered scarf from Ek Tha Tiger, everything has been copied by his fans. For his next TV outing with reality show Bigg Boss season 6, he will be seen sporting a French beard and a new wardrobe and has even shot the promos in this avatar.

Salman’s sister Alvira Agnihotri and designer Ashley Rebello have ensured that the star looks hot on the small screen. Rebello spills the beans on Sallu’s latest style, saying, "Salman Khan's look is more formal as compared to the previous seasons. He will sport a more structured look with a mix of two-button suits, jackets in colours such as lemonade yellow, mustard and salmon pink, and a lot of black shirts with trendy ties. Also, he will be seen flaunting a brand new element, which will create a rage." But the designer stays mum on it claiming that it’s a surprise, which will be revealed later.

Bigg Boss is looking for you

The upcoming sixth season of reality show Bigg Boss promises a twist this year. After announcing that it will cut down on airing excessive fights and slandering among the housemates, the show is looking beyond celebrities as its participants. For this edition of the show, Colors is inviting entries from viewers who wish to be part of the reality show. "With the aim of building audience interactivity, Bigg Boss 6 is reaching out to the aam aadmi, and thereby, reaching out to a larger cross-section of the audience. Now, kids and teens in Bigg Boss?

The drama gets bigger; the ages, small. The upcoming season six of reality show Bigg Boss is likely to see children and teenagers be part of the bickering in the house. The reports have sparked a debate on whether it is okay to involve children in a show that is high on glamour, theatrics and politics, and requires confinement for months in a house with strangers. Ex-inmates say it’s a bad idea.

“I don’t think it’s a good idea at all. The purpose of the show is to put the housemates under such extreme physical, mental, emotional stress that they crumble, thus providing drama and content. I don’t think it’s correct to put a child through this,” says actor Ashmit Patel, who was an inmate in season 4. Afghan beauty Vida Samadzai, an inmate in the show’s fifth season, says, “I wouldn’t want fragile teens or innocent children to be a part of this war zone.”

Couples’ retreat in Bigg Boss house

We have seen models, international artistes and famous faces from the TV and film world fight it out. It looks like the show is all set to beam this action into our living rooms again, with Bigg Boss season six.

Sources close to the development of the project say that celebrity couples are being considered this time around as well.
