Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who recently broke up with his long time girlfriend and TV actor Ankita Lokhande, has deleted his Twitter account.
Reports on Monday claimed the Kai Po Che star may have taken the step to avoid speculations around his break up and his alleged relationship with Raabta co-star Kriti Sanon.
A source had earlier told Hindustan Times that the break-up had affected Sushant immensely. “Sushant has completely shut off and has immersed himself into work. He has also been spending a lot of time with his friends to keep himself distracted. Ankita has been reaching out to the actor and they’ve been talking but their issues aren’t sorted,” the source said.

The two met in 2009 on the sets of their debut TV show, Pavitra Rishta, and soon moved in together. Rumours of trouble started when Sushant began making solo public appearances. Usually quite inseparable, Ankita always accompanied the actor at red-carpet events. She was also missing from Sushant’s social media posts.
While some reports claimed the separation was due to Sushant’s alleged closeness to actor Kriti Sanon, others claimed that Ankita’s problems with alcohol resulted in the breakup.

Sushant, however, took to Twitter and clarified that none of the reasons were real. “Neither she was an alcoholic nor I am a womaniser. People do Grow apart & its unfortunate . Period!!” he posted.
Attempts to contact Sushant went unanswered.
