Neem is a very ancient herb with well-known health and beauty benefits, whether consumed or used as fresh leaves, dried leaves, powder capsules or oil. Both Ayurveda and modern studies have proved that this plant holds the cure for several diseases and health issues. Here are some of them.
Excellent for controlling acne and oily skin: Neem’s astringent properties control open pores in the skin, and its antibacterial and antiviral properties means that when a few drops of neem oil, or the contents of a neem capsule, are added to a face mask, the skin literally glows with health.
Try this: Make a paste of neem powder (from an opened capsule), musambi juice, and Multanimitti. Apply to the face.
Controls summer fungal infections: One of the best ways to control fungal infections is to apply neem oil mixed with coconut oil to the affected area. Or open a neem capsule and add the contents to some organic coconut oil. This mix is fantastic for controlling fungus in any part of the body .
Makes a healthy bath: Many soaps in the past were made of neem extracts. Now you can add the contents of an opened capsule of neem powder to boiling water, then add this water to a bucket of water for bathing, and leave overnight. Bathe in the morning with this pure antibacterial water.
Controls diabetes: One neem capsule twice a day helps control blood sugar spikes.
Controls high cholesterol: Take one neem capsule with plain water every night. For better results, take one teaspoon of triphala powder mixed with water early every morning.
Controls stomach inflammations: Take one neem capsule twice a day with water, and also add probiotics to your diet. Reduce your intake of tea and coffee as well.
Controls dandruff and scalp problems: Take one neem capsule twice a day with water. Also, apply the juice of raw onions to the scalp along with coconut oil mixed with neem oil or neem powder.
