Bharti Tele-Ventures on Friday announced it would invest over Rs 700 crore in the current fiscal to expand its broadband and telephone services in 14 more towns in 10 circles.

This will take Bharti's cumulative investment in this segment (broadband and telephone) to Rs 3,500 crore. Announcing Bharti's reaching the one millionth customer mark, Mittal said companies' broadband services were now available in 66 cities spread in 14 circles.
With the current roll out plans, Bharti would achieve a pan-India footprint in broadband services, Bharti Tele-Ventures Joint Managing Director Rajan Mittal said.
Airtel is offering broadband services for fixed lines customers by providing ADSL technology and claims to have a subscriber base of 1.7 lakh.
