'Indian inflation at 7.14 pct on Apr 5'

India's wholesale price index rose 7.14 per cent in the 12 months to April 5, a government official said on Thursday.

This is slower than the previous week's annual rise of 7.41 per cent and just below a median forecast of 7.19 per cent in a Reuters poll of analysts.

The data is due to be released at 12:00 pm local time.
