Jubilant FoodWorks net up 52% at Rs 23 cr

Food service company Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd (JFL), which operates Domino's Pizza stores, reported a 52% jump in its net profit at Rs 23 crore for the first quarter of this fiscal as compared to the same period a year ago.

Food service company Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd (JFL), which operates Domino's Pizza stores, reported a 52% jump in its net profit at Rs 23 crore for the first quarter of this fiscal as compared to the same period a year ago.

The total income of the company during the quarter rose by 60% when compared to same period a year ago and stood at Rs 217 crore. During the quarter Jubilant FoodWorks opened 14 new Domino's Pizza stores and with this addition the total number of Domino's stores stood at 392 as on June 30, 2011.

Jubilant FoodWorks plans to launch its first Dunkin' Donut store in the first half of the calendar year 2012. Dunkin' Donut is the world's leading baked goods and coffee chain. The company is targeting to open 80-100 Dunkin' Donut stores over the next five years.

"JFL plans to introduce Dunkin' Donuts in the Indian market and remains committed to creating a solid foundation for this brand under JFL," said Shyam S Bhartia, chairman and Hari S Bhartia, co-chairman Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd.
