Hop Oxo Electric to be launched on September 5: Report

The e-bike was unveiled by its parent company, Hop Oxo, in March.

Electric vehicle (EV) maker Hop Oxo Electric has announced September 5 as the launch date of its electric bike Hop Oxo, according to a report in Hindustan Times' sister publication Live Hindustan. The motorcycle was unveiled in March and its pre-booking can be done at a token amount of 999 on the company's website, the report said.

A ‘heavy’ battery pack

Hop Oxo has a ‘heavy-looking’ battery pack, which would be connected with the hub motor. The vehicle's headlight is quite similar to that of Yamaha FZ-Fi version 2.0.

Technical specifications yet to be disclosed

Though the company is yet to disclose the technical specifications of the e-bike, the EV's suspension set up features a telescopic fork and a dual shock. Meanwhile, the breaking system comprises of a disc break on each of the wheels.

May be available at 1.20 lakh

Hop Oxo Electric may price the EV at 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle's likely competitors in the Indian market are Revolt RV 400, Tork Kratos and Oben Rorr. It will be sold through the 140 touchpoints of the company across India, including more than 60 new dealerships opened across the last six months.
