Tata Punch EV facelift revealed ahead of February 20 debut: Exterior changes detailed
Tata Punch EV facelift exterior changes have been revealed, while the electric SUV is set to continue with the same battery and motor options.
The Tata Punch EV facelift is set to debut on February 20, and ahead of its launch, the carmaker has given us a clear look at the changes up front. The updates are subtle but deliberate, aimed at giving Tata’s smallest electric SUV a sharper look while aligning it more closely with the brand’s newer design language for its EVs.

Cleaner, more striking exterior
The Punch EV facelift now adopts a split LED layout, moving away from the earlier design where the headlamp clusters were visually connected by a black plastic trim. In the updated model, the headlamps sit as separate units, resulting in a cleaner appearance. While the DRLs themselves remain, they are no longer connected across the bonnet line. The front bumper and grille area have also been reworked to complement this new layout, lending the Punch EV a more striking look.

From the side, the Punch EV facelift remains largely unchanged. It continues with the same boxy proportions, short overhangs and upright stance synonymous with the nameplate. Elements such as the thick black cladding along the doors, pronounced wheel archesand ORVM-mounted turn indicators have been carried over, reinforcing the Punch EV’s rugged, urban-focused demeanour. Alloy wheel designs are likely to remain identical to the outgoing model, though Tata may introduce new versions depending on the variant.

While the rear fascia remains hidden for now, the overall shape and tailgate design are expected to be unchanged. The facelift may introduce a connected LED tail-lamp setup, mirroring what was seen on the ICE-powered Punch facelift.
Under the skin, the Punch EV facelift continues to sit on Tata’s acti.ev architecture, and there are no changes expected to its overall dimensions. Inside, the Punch EV facelift is expected to receive a larger infotainment touchscreen, along with updated UI software. Tata could also introduce a premium audio system with Dolby Atmos support, as seen on newer Tata EVs, along with refreshed upholstery and cabin materials.
