304 cases registered against security forces in Kashmir

As many as 304 first information reports (FIRs) were lodged against personnel of security forces in Jammu and Kashmir in the last three years, the state Assembly was informed today.

As many as 304 first information reports (FIRs) were lodged against personnel of security forces in Jammu and Kashmir in the last three years, the state Assembly was informed on Monday.

The FIRs were lodged in different police stations against security personnel, including local police, the government said in a written reply in the Assembly here.

Of these FIRs, 164 were registered in Jammu division and 140 in Kashmir division, including 36 in Srinagar district, 15 in Baramulla and 14 in Sopore.

The government said that of these 304 FIRs, 230 cases have already been moved in different courts in the state.
