70-year-old Woman killed in hit-and-run accident
A 70-year-old woman was killed after she was hit by an unidentified car on Tuesday morning. Police sources said the victim, a dweller of Colony Number 4, was hit by the car near the Industrial Area. The victim was identified as Rukmani, who worked as a maid.

A 70-year-old woman was killed after she was hit by an unidentified car on Tuesday morning. Police sources said the victim, a dweller of Colony Number 4, was hit by the car near the Industrial Area. The victim was identified as Rukmani, who worked as a maid.
The victim was spotted lying in a pool of blood by a passerby, who informed the police. She was rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, where she was declared brought dead. Police said there were no eyewitnesses to the incident.
A case under Section 304 A of the IPC has been registered against the unidentified car driver at the Industrial Area police station.
