Centre clears Anurag Agarwal for post of UT home secretary

The Centre has cleared the appointment of Anurag Agarwal, a 1994-batch IAS officer of the Haryana cadre, as home secretary, Chandigarh administration. The department of personnel and training (DoPT), the union ministry of personnel, public grievances and pensions, on Tuesday approved his inter-cadre deputation for a period of three years.

The Centre has cleared the appointment of Anurag Agarwal, a 1994-batch IAS officer of the Haryana cadre, as home secretary, Chandigarh administration.

The department of personnel and training (DoPT), the union ministry of personnel, public grievances and pensions, on Tuesday approved his inter-cadre deputation for a period of three years. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet had cleared his name for the post on January 5.
The DoPT has sent a copy of the order to the Haryana government. The formal orders will be sent by the union home ministry to the Chandigarh administration.

Agarwal is currently posted as secretary, political services, and managing director of Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam.
