Complainant Narinder Rana from Snehalaya Home, Maloya, Chandigarh, reported that Sunder, a resident of Indira Colony, Manimajra, aged about 13 years, is missing since July 24.

According to sources, the boy was brought to Snehalaya under Operation Muskan. "The boy may have fled to his native place,"said a police official.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered under Section 363 (punishment for kidnapping) of the IPC against an unidentified person. The matter is under investigation.

Snehalaya, which is managed by UT administration's social welfare department, is a home to destitute children.
