Chandigarh Meteorological Centre predicts rain from Sunday

The tricity may get more rain for three days from Sunday onwards, the Chandigarh Meteorological Centre has predicted.According to the centre's forecasting bulletin, moderate to rather heavy rain or thundershowers would occur at many places in the tricity. The rain will also bring relief from hot weather with drop in maximum and minimum temperatures. The maximum temperature may come below 30 degrees Celsius, the Met said.

On Saturday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 30.6 degrees Celsius, which was three notches below normal. Similarly, the minimum temperature was recorded at 28.2 degrees Celsius, which was four notches above normal.
