Exile Tibetan PM congratulates Malala, Satyarthi

Sikyong (Tibetan prime minister-in-exile) Lobsang Sangay on Monday congratulated Nobel peace prize winners Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzai in recognition of their monumental achievement.

Sikyong (Tibetan prime minister-in-exile) Lobsang Sangay on Monday congratulated Nobel peace prize winners Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzai in recognition of their monumental achievement.

In a statement issued here, Sangay said the Central Tibetan administration (CTA) admires their contribution and struggle for the basic rights and education of children.

“Yousafzai's fight and struggle for girl's right to education and her determination is heroic and iconic to the rest of the world,” he said.

He also lauded Satyarthi's unwavering fight against child trafficking and child labour in India. “His non-violent protests and demonstrations are an inspiration to many,” he commented. He offered heartfelt congratulations to both the individuals and emphasised on the need to continue their struggle for the elevation of basic human rights and freedom.
