Hooda visits Sudan martyr's family in Gurgaon

Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Wednesday visited the bereaved family of martyr Subedar Kanwar Pal Singh Raghav, at Bhondsi village near Gurgaon, to express his conconsoles.

Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Wednesday visited the bereaved family of martyr Subedar Kanwar Pal Singh Raghav, at Bhondsi village near Gurgaon, to express his conconsoles.

Raghav was killed in a terrorist attack on December 19 in Sudan. The martyr, who was a member of Army Medical Corps 8 Rajasthan Rifles, was on United Nations Peace Keeping Mission in South Sudan.

The mortal remains of the martyr were flown to India and were consigned to flames on Monday at his native village.

While expressing his condolences, Hooda announced that the government senior secondary school of Bhondsi village would be named after the martyr Subedar Kanwar Pal Singh Raghav. He said that his family would be given all benefits under the policy of the state government for martyrs. He also assured that Anjali, daughter of the martyr, would be provided job according to her qualifications. At present, Anjali was pursuing BSc (final year) in Meerut.
