Words like ‘Indian dogs go back,’ ‘Sameer Tiger’ and ‘Burhan Wani’ were spotted on the apples by a fruit seller who purchased the fruit from Tohana city of Haryana.

“I bought apple boxes from Tohana which were transported from Pulwama of Jammu and Kashmir. The apples with slogans were found in the last layer of the box,” said Makhan Singh, the fruit seller.

“Anti-India slogans were written only on three apples. We demand that security agencies look into it,” he added.

Meanwhile, police have started investigations. “Lehra deputy superintendent of police is investigating the incident as there were some anti-national slogans on the apples. However, it is a matter of investigation whether the slogans were written in Kashmir or it was an act of mischief,” said Harinder Singh, superintendent of police (SP-Investigation).
