I have always been interested in aviation and aerospace as I have always been curious to know what makes planes fly. I have a passion for research, driven by the pioneering work and daring thoughts of inspirational personalities like Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Kalpana Chawla, Vikram Sarabhai and others. As PEC students, we get a lot of exposure towards the theoretical side, if not the experimental or industrial.

We learn concepts required for understanding the work done at industrial and research organisations. With tours to industries and others like Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and visiting institutes like the Indian Institute of Science and the Indian Institutes of Technology, we are acquainted with the positive facets of our industry.

Traditionally, job have been available with governmental agencies like the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), the Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) and the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). However, jobs are opening up with private companies as well.

Many of my seniors have applied for institutional research and further studies in India as well as abroad. Organisations like the Aeronautical Society of India also do their bit to rejuvenate the science of aeronautics and aerospace among the Indian youth with the hosting several events like aviation and aerosoace Day. I do feel that the science and study in aviation field has a lot to contribute to the country and the society. I wish that one day, we emerge as leaders in the world aviation space.
