Out of the total arrival of paddy, maximum quantity of paddy has arrived in district Kurukshetra which is over 2.13 lakh tonnes, a spokesperson of Haryana Food and Supplies department said here on Monday.
Similarly, district Karnal received over 1.77 lakh tones of paddy, district Kaithal 1.15 lakh tonnes, Ambala 59,615 tonnes, Yamunanagar 25,817 tonnes, Panchkula 14,911 tonnes, Fatehabad 6,608 tonnes, Sirsa 3,729 tonnes, Panipat 3,709 tonnes, Sonepat 572 tonnes and Jind 546 tonnes, he said.
He said out of the total arrival of paddy, six government agencies have procured 5.94 lakh tonnes of paddy so far, whereas the remaining 27,261 tonnes has been procured by millers.
Out of the paddy procured by agencies, 2,61,758 tonnes had been procured by Food and Supplies Department whereas HAFED had purchased 1,65,262 tonnes, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation 1,00,133 tonnes, Haryana Warehousing Corporation 31,682 tonnes and CONFED procured 35,206 tonnes of paddy, he added.
