PGI exam: Andhra Pradesh based gang in CBI net

The busting of an Andhra Pradesh based gang, by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) involved in cheating at postgraduate examination entrance of PGIMER in Chandigarh, revealed that the paper was actually leaked to several other students and most of them hailing from Andhra Pradesh.

The busting of an Andhra Pradesh based gang, by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) involved in cheating at postgraduate examination entrance of PGIMER in Chandigarh, revealed that the paper was actually leaked to several other students and most of them hailing from Andhra Pradesh.

A senior official of the CBI confirmed that the number of students who were made to cheat can be much more than the estimated.

Earlier reports suggested that there were 20 students but the CBI officials insist that they are going through the intricate details of the gang and their communication with the perspective candidates involved in the scam. The officer adds the Kingpin P Guvir Reddy had charged around Rs 20 lakh per student who were facilitated through the unfair means in the PGIMER examination.
